About the event

Undo Bias Arts & Liberation Programs is proud to announce ADORNED: A Closing Event for NYUSO and a Celebration of Black Abundance, presented in collaboration with The Kranzberg 2024–2025 Artist in Residence, Moraa Nyaribo, a St. Louis-based Kenyan fashion designer and textile artist.

ADORNED. is a Dress-Up Party. An After-5 Affair. A Night of Showing Off Your Abundance, Your Astronomical Designs, Dreaming Up Your Most Afrofuturist Self! This event is about your authentic ADORNment & Beauty!

Come join us at The Kranzberg Arts Center for a night of celebration and joy! This vibrant evening will honor Nyaribo’s exhibition—an Afrofuturist meditation on adornment and abundance—while celebrating the resilience, creativity, and joy of Black communities in St. Louis. As neighborhoods continue to rebuild in the wake of tornado damage, ADORNED offers space for collective healing, revelry, and community care.

This event is Free and open to the public, but tickets are highly recommended due to the capacity of the space. Small bites, wine, and cake will be served.

ADORNED. Littles are welcomed!
